Weight loss: I wouldn't doubt that anything can induce weight loss, but there is no sufficient proof that anything besides a healthy diet, low in calories, starch & sugar, with vitamin support and reasonable daily exercise, is reliable. Some form of protein and vegetables throughout the day will get you there.

while shredded the potatoes for hashbrown some of the potatoe juice touches my wound on finger i did not have any bandage on as it was a small cut suddenly thought come in my mind that potatoes have botulism spores do i get wound botulism too scared?

: You would not get botulism in this manner. You should wash the wound with soap and water and apply an antibiotic ointment, like bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment, to avoid getting an infection. Cover with a bandaid. This will prevent getting an infection. Good luck to you!

Balance your diet: Your diet is out of balance which is probably why you are not feeling your,best.  While protein is known to be the energy food, if not eaten in balance,with carbs your weight loss and health will suffer.  It will also make your eating plan more difficult to stay with.  Try adding some whole grains and fruit into your diet in moderation and see if things  get better.  Don't drink too much caffeine.

what is labelled "yam"in the U.S. (usually  orange  and high in beta-carotene) is actually a  variety of the sweet potato, not the more starchy and dry "yam" originating in africa.

Apples & oranges: They are two entirely different botanical products like apples and oranges. By the way, white potato allergy is very rare.  Wonder if you only noted allergic reaction (if that's what it is) only when you eat the peel as in the case of baked potato.

What matters is how much and how often, and what sort of variety there is in the overall diet. Calories matter, meaning the math always works. To lose weight, calories used must be more than calories eaten.

Yes, but uncommon: Sweet potato has been identified as a trigger of food induced colitis in infants. This is an unusual disorder.  Theoretically, any food can potentially trigger an allergic disorder. Sweet potato would be an uncommon cause.  An allergist can test specifically for sweet potato to help sort this out.
