May interfere: It may interfere and give you a false positive. Wait and see if you miss a period and then check several days later. Or have a blood pregnancy test done w/your doctor.

No: An injection of Progesterone should not affect/interfere with a result of a blood test for pregnancy.

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: Progesterone treatment can be preventing your menstrual flow from coming on.  Repeat pregnancy test and ask your doctor when you should stop the progesterone.  Within a few days of stoping your Progesterone your menses should start, then you can try again.  Most pregnancy tests should turn positive after 14 days.  But repeat test just to be safe.

Close monitoring: I assume you are talking about having a short cervix. There is no way to predict how long but close monitoring by your doctor is needed to detect subtle changes.

Impossible to tell: That's an impossible question to answer. Unless a woman has had previous uterine surgery, or has a congenital abnormality of the uterus, there's no such thing as a 'thin' uterus.  The cervix can be shortened, maybe that's what you are referring to?  If so, then some women with shortened cervix go all the way to term. If threatened preterm labor, make sure you've had a course of steroids for baby.

: A ny home pregnancy test is fine when taken after your missed period.

New studies out: At this point this medication has been viewed as being safe for many years and not to be Seen has any effect on a fetus however but there are new studies that have come out where there might be in effect I would suggest talking to your maternal fetal medicine physician which is a high risk obgyn

Not an issue: We don't measure a woman's Progesterone in pregnancy and i've never heard of it being a concern for a pregnancy.  Your body will be making estrogen during your pregnancy, but there is no such thing as 'low' estrogen in pregnancy.

what are the differences between drugs susten and duphaston? which is more safe during pregnancy? i am 12 weeks pregnant now.

Drugs: Both drug are given to maintain pregnancy especially if you have had a miscarriage before. Susten is Progesterone and Duphaston is a Progesterone derivative. It prepares the enometrium so that the fetus is maintained. Both are safe to take during pregnancy.
