I would: Be less worried about surgical glue as the issue. If there is pain, redness, fever or discharge form your incision, you need to get in to see your orthopedic surgeon.

Tell your doctor: If you have a cold, the surgery will likely be postponed until after you have recovered until this is a life-threatening situation.  If it is an allergy, it can likely be treated before you undergo the surgery. Sneezing may make your incision site very painful.   Regardless, contact your doctor to find out what should be done.

Unlikely: I assume you are having sinus or nasal surgery.  Even though surgery is often very successful in improving chronic sinus symptoms and reducing infections the lining of the nose and sinuses doesn't change how it responds to things in the environment.  Those who suffer from allergies will still do so although congestion is often less intense after surgery.

Entirely safe: Plastics like polyisoprene and others are unrelated to latex and entirely safe in latex allergy. It's exactly the kind of glove you should be using.

Maybe: It depends on how bad your allergies are and the type of anesthesia that is going to be given to you.  If you have severe symptoms and are going to be sedated blockage of your airway may present a reason to delay your surgery.  If only local anesthesia is to be given it shouldn't be a problem except if you allergies are real bad you will feel worse after having oral surgery.  Talk to your doctor.

More information: Hard to answer your open question. Narcotic pain meds or nsaids like Aspirin & ibuprofen? Are allergic symptoms hives, nausea, vomiting or breathing issues? I recommend that you not worry about these issues until you need surgery; then discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Pre-operatively you may be asked to consult an allergist or pain specialist or speak with the anesthesiologist.

Latex Allergy: Wear nitrile gloves if you have a serious latex allergy.  Polyisoprene is synthetic latex.

i had aggressive turbinate surgery 2.5 weeks ago. no allergies and felt good for 2 days but now congested again and it alternates. is this normal?

Check with surgeon?: Since optimal healing after surgery takes about 6 weeks, it is not surprising that there may still be some inflammation and even crusting at 2.5 weeks. However if the congestion worsens or lasts beyond 6 weeks, one would need to rule out a sinus infection. Very aggressive turbinate reduction may also open up the nose too much to lead to a sensation of congestion called empty nose syndrome.

NO: Surgical steel is hypoallergenic you are not going to be allergic to it.
