eyes keep fogging while wearing contacts in summer. cloudiness doesn't go away for hours after taking them out. sun & light make it hard to see & burn?

Wear glasses: It would prudent to not wear contact lenses.

when i look at the sky or in sunlight i see lines of smoke and see a tiny but spotty what is this? and how can i make it better

Vitrous / retina: This can be just a benign problem in the gel in the middle of the eye or could be a sign of retinal disease-that could be visual threatening. You should see an ophthalmologist for a detailed evaluation with dilation of the eyes. Given your age this is very unusual.

Accepted Answer

Many reasons: Skin color changes can occur for a variety of reasons. A person may look yellow because of liver problems, bruised because of blood disorders, or red because of a variety of skin problems.

when i go outside in bright sunlight, it takes my eyes  5 or 6 minutes inside to get to normal vision-i can see clearly, but it seems like it's darker?

It takes time: Some people can have trouble adjusting from light to dark conditions or vice versa.  If your vision is otherwise normal, it is probably not a serious condition.  There is a group of rare retinal conditions, however, that can present with similar problems that can lead to decreased vision.  In order to determine if you may have one of these rare conditions, you need to have a dilated eye exam.

will you still get post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation if you don't let that part of the skin see sunlight for months?

Yes, if prone to it.: Good question! sunlight does not cause pih, but it can make it worse once it occurs. So pih can still occur on non-sun-exposed skin (if you are prone it) -- but it will go away faster if no sunlight hits it. (or if you wear a good sunscreen lotion every day).

i have new progressive glasses, is it normal to see #'s on the lens (outer near lens & inner near nose) when holding them up to sunlight or light?

Yes: Usually not readily visible, but yes there are number on progressive lenses.

sometimes i work overnights and dont see alot of sunlight. is it true that vitamin d supplements may be beneficial to make up for it? thanks

Yes: The main source of Vitamin D is exposure to the sun, esp. in the spring and summer. In the fall and winter we can't get any D from the sun (unless living in the tropics) so everyone should take D in the fall and winter even if they get plenty of sun. how long would the hepatitis c virus survive outside exposed to sunlight? i accidentally touched an area where i know someone had bled, i did not see any stains and i dont know this person to be infected but still very concerned?

: Hep C virus can survive outside the body for hours &amp;hours. It essentially has to enter your blood stream in order to infect you. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

i have been getting hard lumps under skin on legs that are red/scarred and itchy and painful they indent when pressed and worsen in.heat or sunlight?

Hard lumps: Since the lumps are bilateral one has to consider the possibility of erythema nodosom. This a rash that can appear s a result of many illnesses such as strep, tb, sarcoidosis, but basically the cause is unknown. If you are in pain you can take ibuprofen. Warm bathes can also ease the pain. The important thing is to see your doctor to see if he can establish a cause.

Skin Cancers: While sun exposure is the most important risk factor for skin cancer, many potentially lethal skin cancers develop in protected sites like the soles of the feet, scalp and genital areas. It's important to be thoroughly examined, but this can be done with respect and dignity.
