Unpredictable: From a practical standpoint, sure if there's a person with a cold standing in a crowded subway, there is an increased risk that person's sneeze and germs will find its way to another person. 

In terms of personal health, can't really say there's any added risk of riding the subway. 
Public transport is good for the environment.

You could argue, driving a car is more dangerous (ie accidents).

Accepted Answer

Depends: "detox" diets are actually restrictive diets primarily focused on weight reduction with the added (probably not-entirely-true) claim that they remove nonspecified "poisons". The benefits come mostly from denying you the things that may be keeping you overweight -- there's nothing magic, so make your own decision as an adult.

See below: Yes but don't get the mayonnaise or extra meat or cheese. Choose a turkey sandwich with lots of veggies or better yet, a veggie delite. Still, I don't recommend eating at Subway often because of the excess salt and preservatives but it's definitely better than McDonalds, Carls Jr, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, or Jack in the Box.

why is dorm food so bad? they charge a lot and give us organic choices, but seriously, subway is better. what do i tell dad?

Many reasons: Dorm food is mass produced and is made from food supplied by commercial vendors.  The food chain is subject to adulteration and spoilage.  Dorm food managers tread the line between palatability and cost saving.  This is not always the most delicious, or healthy option.  Subway has to sell to the public in the face of competition so taste is a serious goal.  Try to eat fresh, identifiable foods.

Usually yes: Eating 2 subway 6" sandwiches is too big of a lunch. That means eating 1 foot-long sandwich is too big of a lunch. However, the reality is in counting the calories, which means one can eat a foot-long and be just fine, if he eats less the remainder of the day, and does not eat more than what his daily caloric needs are. Count calories, as unused calories that one eats will be stored as fat.

Neutral: Pretzels are a tasty snack and can be ingested to take the edge off hunger.  The only risk is that they are empty carbs and the salt may be an issue.  So eat them as part of a balanced diet.

It's not too bad ...: I think there is a way to make "living off Subway" pretty healthy. If you get wheat bread, low fat meat (turkey), mostly avoid cheese, get "lots of veggies" and little or no dressing or mayo, it is pretty healthy.  You do need some fruit somewhere in your diet, and, of course, lots of water ... not soda pop!
