can slim people feel lymph nodes at the sides and front of their neck even when theres no infection present? ive had feelable 1/2 nodes for 2 years and theyve never changed. there below my chin, jaw and down the sides of my neck?

: If these palpable lymph nodes, which are probably old burnt out nodes from a prior viral infection, haven't changed in size or number in 2 years, this is reassuring. Nevertheless I recommend having a cbc&amp; differential white cell count and a mono test performed for further information &amp; I don't think a lymph node biopsy is warranted.  Discuss this with your MD who follows you.

No: To proper answer your question we need to know more than the information you have provided. What is your age and your prior medical history? How were those enlarged lymph nodes diagnosed? To prove presence or absence of a disease in those nodes you will need additional work-up and most likely a biopsy.

Microcalcifications: This finding suggests that these are old burnt out lymph nodes from an old infectious process. Your physician can confer with radiologist who read your images to confirm that this is the case and perhaps no further follow-up will be recommended.

i have 2 large (> 1 cm) lymph nodes in left groin that have been present for 5 months. they have gotten slightly larger since first noted but remain soft, mobile and us and blood work are unremarkable. dr said reactive and can ignore. is that true?

hey, i have pairs of pea sized lymph nodes all over my body. i have two at the back of my head witch are pea sized and immovable, are these a concern? i've also had all of the nodes present for a 6 month period and none of the nodes have changed?

: This sounds a bit unusual. But as long as they do not increase in size they are not likely to be cancerous.
You should consider being examined by your family doctor so that he/she can measure them and count them for future evaluation for change in size and looking for new ones. I do not think it is anything serious.
