Indirectly: Some head trauma may cause blood on the surface of the brain called subdural or epidural hematoma. If large enough, this blood can cause mass affect that can lead to stroke.

Stroke Recovery: The ability of cerebral (brain) improvement after a stroke is limited.  Some recovery (also called plasticity) can be achieved with transfer of function to other areas, but this function diminishes with age.  Most sources report maximum recovery to be about two years. At 19 years after a stroke, recovery is not optimal.

i fell and hit the back of my head at the back.  2 weeks ago i had a mild stroke.  we are putting ice on the knot.  what else do i need to do?

See your doc : An exam will be needed as a bleed needs to be ruled out. Specifically a subdural hematoma that will create the premises for further falls will need to be ruled out. Circumstances of the fall will be also critical in trying to avoid future falls.

Within first year.: Some recovery with any stroke is expected, but what is left after one year is generally permanent.  The amount of recovery varies, depending on the type, size, and location of the stroke.  Stroke rehabilitation is paramount in achieving the maximum recovery.

Stoke-R get better: 45 F with 2 strokes asks how can I get muscle back on R side? First you don't want to have more. Double check for cause. Check with team to work on this.  Must control BP, DM, stop smoking, only 1 drink/d, no birth control pills or estrogens, lower lipids. Ask team to refer to Rehab medicine to work on restoring muscle strength. And follow their guidance.

i am 29 and all my blood work for a panel came back good. do i still need to worry about stroke?

Worry about a stroke: Interesting question. My question to you is why would you be worried about a stroke? I am not sure of your risk factors, are you a smoker, have hypertension or past history of stroke? You should have a conversation with your doctor.
