Moisturize: Possibly. Eczema is best controlled with adequate moisturization twice a day.

my hands are breaking out in eczema and is covered in sores and blisters. i think it is stress and anxiety related. i was on prednisone for 2 weeks, and it was almost healed. now i have run out of pills and it's is getting worst daily?

: You may try a cortisone cream available over the counter. You should also look into factors that may be making matters worse. Avoid exposure to plant products that may cause irritant dermatitis.

i have an excema type of rash on the back of my hand that seems to be exacerbated by stress. it get extremely itchy and tingly and if i scratch it it can start to ooze. then it clears after a while and then will start up again. ?

Eczema: Always best to look at a rash to confirm. You can do a video enhanced visit to help with this. In general this type of rash is similar to an atopic dermatitis (allergy in the skin) or a reaction to to an irritant chemical, soap, fragrance etc. Steroid creams usually help control the symptoms as well as avoiding things that irritate the skin.

Eczema: You have sensitive skin. Perhaps just washing your hands can cause the red blotches or something you've worked with could also be the cause. Eczema most probably cause your skin to get irritated ao quickly.

Not always: If you have hand eczema due to exposure to irritants (dishwater, chemicals, etc) then avoidance of those will resolve your eczema.  Cold weather, frequent handwashing, incomplete drying can aggrevate eczema.  Sometimes 'eczema' is actually an infection.  There are many products available otc as well as prescription.  If your dr. Can't help, ask for derm referral.

Eczema Herpeticum: There is always a possibility of catching the virus, if there are any open sores, like a damaged cuticle.  The risk is low, if the person who has the virus, does not have any active blisters or sores, but transmission is still possible.  Being aware of any sores and keeping your hands and skin washed and cleaned regularly, will help to prevent transmission of any infections, including herpes.

? infection: Mupirocin is as you know an antibiotic ointment. Like oral antibiotics you should use sparingly for infection of your skin to avoid selecting resistant organisms. 
The key is to keep your hand as dry as possible and open to the air. If there is secondary infection you can apply mupirocin in a thin layer twice a day.
