Viral flair: Herpes Simplex is a virus that can outbreak as a cold sore or as an entity like what you are describing. This occurs when a person is ill or stressed. It usually occurs because the immune system of the individual is compromised. Though there are over the counter treatments, it is best and more rapidly treated with oral and topical Zovirax (acyclovir). See your MD and confirm the diagnosis.

Tension headaches: high levels of stress and anxiety can result in the muscles in your neck tensing up, leading to feeling of tightness and headache.   unless you have had some trauma, a bump on your head is probably not the cause.

: Please continue to see your dentist and your doc.  Medical conditions need to be ruled out or identified.  You may be fixated on that part of your body and sensitive to feelings there.  Consider a clinical psychologist as well.  He/she can help w/anxiety disorder and health phobia if that is part of the issue.  Peace and good health.
