Cold symptoms: Both cold symptoms and strep can exist at the same time. Thats why its important to get a throat culture to diagnose a strep throat.

Strain: Strain is most likely problem. See pcp or ortho and consider physical therapy if approved by physician.

i had strep throat on may 5th; finished course of amoxicillin on may 15th. i gave oral sex on may 24th to my boyfriend. may 25th i woke up and had strep symptoms again; tested positive and got prescribed cefdinir. can you get strep on your penis?

: If you have strep pharyngitis at your age then you have carried that bacteria in your throat all the time (colonization) and when the bacteria overgrows, you have the symptoms of pharyngitis. Even if strep A is present on your boyfriend's penis, you do not get sick right away the next day because the shortest incubation time is 48 hours. Take care.

Depends: How long have they been sick?  If it has been a day or two then they may get better on their own.  If 5-7 days, then they may need treatment.  Especially if they think there is sinusitis, the complications can occur quickly.  Either way i would use nasal saline a couple times a day to help thin secretions.

Sinus infection: a virus can cause early infection but some times there is a secondary infection involving the sinuses,specially if you are prone to it 
you need to see your doctor and probably take antibiotics
in the mean time a vaporizer or inhaling steam and saline nose drops every 8 hrs might help

Common ones....: Typical symptoms:  sore throat, fever of greater than 38 °c (100 °f), tonsillar exudates (pus on the tonsils), and large cervical lymph nodes.
Other symptoms: headache, n/v, abdominal pain, muscle pain, or a scarlatiniform rash or palatal petechiae (small bleeding), the latter being an uncommon but highly specific finding. Consult doc if you have these symptoms..Good luck.

See your doctor!: You have a URI developing and need to be seen and treated. You may even have an ear infection developing that needs to be examined and treated as well if it's the source of your infection. That needs to be identified first. If viral, only symptomatic care is done, unless your URI warrants an ABx. Call your doctor for an appointment.
