i just recently started and ended topiramate, i was on it for about 4 days before stopping it cold turkey due to severe side effects. i have been having confusion, trouble sleeping, nausea, and bm problems. when will the side effects go away?

SOON: I wonder what dose that you took and what it was for. Topiramate can actuate has cognitive issues although 4 days is rather brief time. I am not even sure that it is withdrawal for how short of a time that you were on it. That being said I imagine any issues should wear off soon. Stay hydrated.

: If your doctor is unavailable, there is an ethical obligation to provide backup coverage.  Contact your local medical society.  Am surprised that you would have significant problems with a rather low dose of topiramate over but one week.  Perhaps a neurologist should be consulted?

Could be: Topiramate is an atypical seizure medication.  It is used to reduce headaches , and it suppresses nerve function. Stopping the med could likely cause the symptoms.
