See doctor.: Have you seen a doctor or a GI specialist and have you been scoped. If not you need to see one and get a definitive diagnosis then you can be treated. It looks like you have been taking OTC H2 blockers. So see your doctor.

PPI's and avoidance: Ulcers if bleeding can be treated if they are cauterized during endoscopy.  But basic way to treat ulcer is with meds called ppi's- this is nexium, protonix, dexilant, (dexlansoprazole) prevacid, prilosec...Etc. This keeps the acid down and allows ulcer time to heal. Avoiding things that make ulcer worse also helps-like alcohol, nsaids or Aspirin or steroids  or smoking etc. If assoc w h.Pylori-treating this helps.

Acidic/fatty foods: In researching this question i found many lists of food to avoid that were completely undocumented & questionable- for example, most lists said to avoid cabbage, which is the food most proven to help heal ulcers! we don't have much science to answer this, but most find it beneficial to avoid acidic foods like citrus & coffee, alcohol & fatty foods. Many: Stay away from Ibuprofen and alleve like medications, check with your doctor if you have a bacteria called h pylori and get treated accordingly. Acid reducers like zantac, (ranitidine) Prilosec and many others can help.

Pain. Blood. See doc: Ulcers uncommon in your age group unless you have been taking non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs.  Generally symptoms are a "gnawing" deep pain in the mid/upper abdomen which often is partially relieved with food, but might actually get worse.  Sometimes you can have nausea and vomit blood or have blood in the stool.  If you think you have an ulcer you should see your doc.

Lots Of Debate: There's debate about this.  I believe yes, but it's not a simple one cause only situation.  Stress can certainly contribute to the development of stomach ulcers (in some people) and other stomach/intestinal problems.  But there are other causative factors as well, such as taking certain medications, aspirin, diet, other medical problems, and several others.
