i have a small painful (almost stinging) bump on my left index finger it is flesh coloured and really can only be felt. i noticed it this morning.  then there was a painless pinkish light coloured right above the knuckle of that index finger that i notice

Bump: Observe it for now. If it get larger or the redness increases have it seen. It may be related to trauma or a bite or something that went through the skin. Keep it clean and try polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin). All the best.

i have been gardening and maybe pulled out a few nettles wearing gloves.  i now have stinging sensation in the knuckles of my right hand?

Ouch!: The pain from touching nettles is severe but brief.  After an hour or so, or less, it hurts much less.  Wear gloves henceforth!  It is a horrible pain., there is nothing like that in my experience.  I have felt it once, and, I hope to never feel it again!  Wash your hands with mild soap of course. Wash anything you touched after touching the nettles, too.

Many thoughts: Causes can range from trauma, arthritis, tendonitis,  to name a few.  You ask your physician and ifnecessary see a rheumatologist

Eczema?: You might have exzema. Dry skin can look very similar.  Try high quality skin care such as arbonne skin care lotion and if not better see a dermatologist.

Hard to know: Without seeing and examining you there is no way to know what is going on.  The ascending nature of these symptoms, however, makes it imperative that you seek medical help asap.  You need to make sure this is not infection spreading rapidly or some other serious problem.  Please go and see a doctor now.

Give it time: It is healing and may take a week to fully settle down. Leave it alone.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

Vein bursting: If you are experiencing increasing amounts of bruising, there are a few concerns. One would be if your blood is unusually thin. This can be because of low platelets (the clotting cell of your blood) or a decrease in the amounts of clotting factors. You should discuss this with your doctor as simple blood tests can diagnosis this. There can also be structural problems with the veins causing this.

Dermatographism: Your skin is in a state of hyperreactivity which could be caused by an allergic mechanism to something internal or external but often no obvious cause is found. If you can't get relief with antihistamines like benadryl(causes drowsiness)or Claritin( which is nondrowsy) consult an allergist.
