Exam/testing: YOU- do not treat yourself, rather get seen, examined and tested by your physician. You are describing a type of neuropathy which may be due to many causes. You can try using ibuprofen ( Advil) OR naproxen sodium ( Aleve) , if not allergic to these medicines; however, your symptoms require further evaluation.

hi, i did urine dipstick for yula for she has increased urine frequency and she's quite confused, it tested positive. leukocyte is 125, chon=0.30, and the rest of the indicators have no trace.

SHE MAY HAVE: a urinary tract infection which her Primary Care Provider may wish to treat with a  brief course of anti-biotics...i the meantime Cranberry Juice and increased fluids may help!!

i got the herpes western blot test done with university of washington at 12 and a half weeks post exposure as terri warren said 12 weeks is long enough to wait. it came back negative for hsv 1&2. what are the chances i just dont have antibodies yet?

Severe allergic rash: Stevens -johnson is amongst the most severe allergic reactions one can have.  It is almost always a reaction to a drug or vaccine.  It usually occurs 1 week after a first exposure or 1-2 days after a second.  It causes severe blistering of the skin and is a life threatening emergency that always requires inpatient hospital care-often in a burn unit.

Quite serious: Allergic phenomenon usually to some drug. A good example is sulfa drugs although there are many others.  It affects usually the mucous membranes first but can go on to involve the entire body and can cause a rash in which the entire body can become red. If not treated early can be life threatening. Seek an alternative: There is an increased risk of stevens-johnson syndrome in persons using cox-2 inhibitors like Meloxicam (mobic). If you can use a cox-1 nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent instead. Stevens-johnson syndrome is a terrible allergic reaction to medication & can even be life-threatening. Once is enough. Discuss your valid concerns with your physician and use Meloxicam only if it is your best choice.

SJS: Sjs is a very serious and life-threatening condition. The acute syndrome can take quite a bit of time to heal and the long term effects can linger for an extended period of time.
