Yes: However, sle itself is also associated with chronic depression. Consider taking an antidepressant med.

A lot of med: It is not the Flovent or Nasonex (mometasone) but the oral Prednisone which is of concern.  Prednisone usually makes people feel good but may induce depression in a few.  Singulair rarely causes mental issues.  It appears that you may have steroid-resistant asthma and i think it is time for you to consult an allergist. A drug reaction is best treated by stopping the drug and not with another drug.

Yes: Ingested or inhaled steroids can cause emotional dysfunctions.

Sometimes: Corticosteroids can precipitate mania in some individuals as can stress. On the other hand 25 years of stability would decrease the likelihood. If you are having symptoms please contact your psychiatrist.

Depression.: If you are taking steroids to build up muscle then stop. However, i think you are  probably referring to steroids prescribed to treat a medical condition. In this case (if steroids can't be stopped) then please see a psychiatrist. You may need both antidepressants and talking therapy.  Even though the cause is known, the depression is still approached as other forms of depression.

cyst on my scalp for years, dr tried many times to inject it w/ steroids-never helped, it has now burst and left painful depression. should i worry?

Sounds like a: sebaceous cyst which should have been drained, or if possible excised so as not to return.  Have a physician look at it.

See below: You can discuss this with your doctor.  Steroids are good for inflammation, but can cause increased anxiety in some individuals.  Injection with a local anesthetic may be a good option.

Yes there is harm: If you've used steroids its probably why you needed antidepressants. There is no interaction but steroid withdrawal causes mood swings fatigue restlessness loss of appetite insomnia reduced sex drive steroid cravings. Their use causes infertility. shrunken testicles erectile dysfunction baldness breast development &amp; prostate cancer. As a trainer you would be liable for recommending  them.

about 14 weeks ago had a steroid shot for sore throat and i still have side effects from it. extreme nervousness and anxiety, depression. what should i do?

See a doctor soon: High dose steroids can cause such symptoms, but not likely to last this long. However, they also can trigger underlying mental health conditions. Your symptoms sound serious:  see your doctor ASAP. Good luck!
