24-48 hours: Some labs may send the report via mail, so the report may be done, but has not arrived at your dr's office yet, etc.

Lost in mailing?: The results from a  nucleic acid amplification test for chlamydia and gonorrhea, typically done from a urine sample, should be done in a week. You better check with the clinic where you had it done, to determine if the sample was  lost, or the results were not released.

does ureaplasma urealyticum infection show up on a urine culture or a pcr std urine test? i had two urine cultures and three std urine tests.

Normal bacteria: It's normal to have U. urealyticum in the genital tract. Once in a while it causes nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) in men, but generally harmless both in men and their sex partners. UU doesn't show up on routine tests; testing is rarely needed except in special circumstances. So nothing to worry about, especially if no symptoms. If in doubt, see an STD or infectious diseases expert. Good luck!

Maybe nothing wrong: No clear diagnosis is possible through any online forum. Maybe there is nothing wrong at all; not all symptoms mean disease. Certainly cancer doesn't behave like this. Ask your urologist about prostatitis or the male chronic pelvic pain syndrome; either can cause pain referred to the tip of the penis. Neither is serious. Keep working with the urologist; in meantime, accept his/her reassurance.

Yes should be: Your test should still be accurate.

had a recent std naat urine test and missed the first void, would chlymidia and gonnarhea show up with mid stream sample or do i need to retest?

Accepted Answer

Midstream is OK: Although first void is preferred, midstream usually is OK. If you were at particularly high risk (symptoms, exposure to known infected person, etc) a repeat test might be wise. Otherwise probably no need.

i got an std test (urine test) after i had sex without a condom. if my test came out negative does it also mean my partner is clean too?

No: No it doesn't. And urine test is not completely accurate for detecting std's, as well as it is not meant to detect all of the possible std.

Not HPV: HPV is not known to cause urethritis. And from what you say, it’s unlikely you have urethritis. Probably nothing is wrong, just anxiety magnifying trivial symptoms that don’t matter, or normal sensations you otherwise would ignore.

Uti possible: could be non specific urinary tract infection. should see doc to be evaluated and possible empirically txed with oral antibiotics

Most: of the serious issues are eliminated by the testing you mention however VIRAL syndromes such as Reiter's  syndrome (arthritis, rethritis and spine arthritis...may be your next step... Since HPV is considered an STD your testing has probably eliminated that possibility. Hope this is helpful!
