Testicular mass: The physician (P) who see your brother will be able to give you a better answer after the P exams him. Not all  testicular masses are cancer and without an examination of him, no P  can give you a meaningful answer to your question. Good luck to him.

Investigative stage: Cabozitaxel ( jevtana) is aproved for use in metastatic carcinoma of prostate, diabetic drug metfomin shown to have chemo therapeutic property , slowing the cancer cell division, use is under investigation.

It depends: No one can know how long patients live with cancer.  I've treated patients who were told they had months to live and NT on the live good quality lives for years.   I strongly urge patients not to focus on months or years and instead look at quality of life.

Chemo limitation: Cancer cells or micrometastasis are unique cells which can continue to function and grow despite exposure to chemotherapy and radiation. Their dna adapts and finds new pathways for cell survival and proliferation. Sometimes it relies on the cells of the microenvironment to grow and flourish. We are getting better in understanding these pathways and finding targeted therapies to treat cancers.

In most progressive: advanced diseases, apatite eventually ↓es. Few current treatments (unlike immune system) precisely target only Ca cells. Both Ca drives ↓ apatite, as do many Ca treatments, due to damage to healthy cells, yet there are always lots of individual variables. In any state of health, enough ↓ in nutritional intake makes it increasingly difficult to impossible to maintain body functions &amp; stay alive.

Bladder cancer: I do not have your pathology report available to review, thus it is hard to make any comment about this. You should , however, direct this question to your urologist. It is important to obtain the information in regard to the the depth of the tumor invasion;  whether there is muscle involvement or not.

Most likely: Grade 4 tumors in the brain may be slowed down after removal by using chemotherapy and radiation.
However, these are not curative.
Stage 4 brain cancer- i assume you mean glioblastoma multiforme- not curable.
A few rare people can survive several years but are not cured.  The most important factor in tumor survival is the patient's age.  I hope this helps.

Deep breaths,Hold On: Of course at your age, breast cancer is common, and with "lumpy" breast, you may find yourself going for repeat imaging often in your life. To this and many patients I say, please complete the work up. Stage IV means that it has spread everywhere, which is a rarity at your age. Have faith and hold on!

Breast Cancer: this is a question that needs to be asked of your oncologist and your personal physicians.  I'm not sure why you or the person with this cancer does not want treatment, I hope this is reconsidered.  My grandmother had this horrible disease, she lived another 25 years with treatment, how much life she would have missed including knowing all my kids, I still miss her.

Swelling: Swelling in this scenario is likely due to edema which could be caused by different processes.  If lymphatic channels within the skin are filled with tumor there will obstruction of lymph flow and you can see skin that looks like an orange peal.  Others things that can cause generalized swelling include low serum Albumin due to poor nutrition.
