ive had sharp, stabbing pain that occurs on the right side of my upper rib cage/sternum since i was about 10. it lasts about 5 seconds at a time, occurring once or twice daily, but the pain can be so severe it causes me to gasp and fall. im 19?

Cardiac or not: First of course, rule out a cardiac cause. See your family doctor or cardiologist to have a thorough evaluation. If it is not cardiac, consider costochondritis (teitzes syndrome) which causes severe sternal and chest discomfort. Finally, a rare condition, sternalis syndrome may cause these symptoms.A ct scan of the chest should also rule out pulmonary or mediastinal pathology.

Costochondritis: Costochondritis could be very painful. It means that there is inflammation of cartilage which joins ribs to the sternum.

Stomach pain: Please get your self checked for a gastric (stomach) ulcer.  It is usually due to a bacterial infection called h. Pylori and sometimes drug induced (asprin and Motrin like drugs).

Too many possibil: Abd pain has so many possibilities that it is impossible to give you an answer.
Going through a list would prob also cause more aniety.

Pleurisy: This pain can be from a variety of illnesses, such as lung infection, acid reflux, etc. You need to see your doctor for a diagnosis and proper treatment.

Bloated: If bowel changes are hard stool then your symptoms could be from constipation.  Take a stool softener for a few days and see if you improve.

Right sternal pains: Discomfort under the right side of the sternum could be musculoskeletal, pulmonary,gastric,gall bladder or liver related. In addition to a physical examination, chest xray, ultrasound of upper abdomen and liver function blood work would be how I would start the evaluation of  your symptoms.

Chest pains?: Regardless, could be only muscle pain. However, pain in your chest with the symptoms you have described is a serious medical condition. It is always a red flag and appointment with your PCP or a cardiologist is warranted. Take care.

Heart attack although very uncommon in your age is unlikely, is possible as is angina especially w factor V Leiden dz. Pregnancy is a state of increased clotting as is factor V Leiden dz, even on Clexane (enoxeparin), with the preg &amp; Factor V dz a pulmonary embolus (clot) is a big concern &amp; needs to be checked for!
