i keep getting sharp stabbing pain left of stomach under ribs. told allergic to milk. told cheese and yogurt ok but no to milk. is this ok? why pain?

Stomach pains: try cutting out all your dairy products for a couple of days. I that doesn't help, try some   Zantac (ranitidine) of other H2 blockers. Perhaps your getting some gastritis or stomach ulcer

Stomach is just: Under left rib cage. Lower could be colon, or if pain radiates from back check for kidney stone. Any other symptoms associated with urination? See pcp bring urine first mornings.

You should seek care: There are many causes of abdominal pain, some of which can be simply annoying, like constipation, others can be deadly. The best way to make sure it's nothing dangerous is to be examined by a health care provider. Most of the time the cause can be determined with a physical exam and a few simple tests. Less often, an imaging study or looking inside the gut with a scope (endoscopy) is needed.

Chest pain: It seems more like a costochondritis, but I am a little confused as to the location. This occurs usually about the 4th-6th costochondral junction about 2 inches from the sternum. Try to press and it hurts. And the treatment initially are nsaids like advil (ibuprofen) or alive. Nevertheless, see your doctor to make sure.

Stomach pain: Please get your self checked for a gastric (stomach) ulcer.  It is usually due to a bacterial infection called h. Pylori and sometimes drug induced (asprin and Motrin like drugs).

Yes: Gas trapped in the bowels can lead to very intense crampy pain. Many causes of this kind of pain are possible, so if pain bothers you, please talk with your doctor about what it could be.

Possible: It's definitely possible that antral gastritis can be causing your symptoms.  If you've done standard imaging and other tests looking for h.Pylori, it might be beneficial to talk with your doctor about getting an endoscopy (if it's been a while since you had your first one ). Gastroparesis: Gastroparesis is commonly caused by diabetes, but can have a multitude of other causes. I would recommend going to see a gastroenterologist.

Intercostal neuralgi: Sounds from the information you give that you may have what is commonly called a "pinched nerve) in your dorsal (back) vertebrae. May have been caused by coughing really hard. Also to be considered is a lung infection. Please see your family physician as you may need a chest x-ray. If normal i would also suggest seeing an osteopathic physician for manipulation of your back.
