?gas pains: Sharp, stabbing abdominal pains may occur if gas is trapped in the intestines and clear as the gas moves on.  If discomfort becomes steady and tenderness is present in the right lower abdomen a physician should check you for appendix or ovarian inflammation.

cant poo unless i activate the creative part of my brain (creative dialogue) and i dont get an urge unless right when i must go, which i make happen only by above mentioned method then i get a stabbing pain in my intestines & go.what could be wrong?

: Your brain is communicating with your intestines resulting in strong contractions. To attain more regular BM's , drink lots of fluids including some hot water,eat fruits&amp;vegetables and/ or take fiber supplements. Also try taking a daily bowel stimulant like senokot according to instructions but avoid laxatives. Regular exercise also helps.See a gastroenterologist as needed for evaluation&amp;advice

i have ibs-d and gastritis. i know i can't take nsaids but why do i get stabbing pain (lower left large intestine) with cramps when i take coated tylenol?  the pain comes on 12 hrs later and lasts the whole day. every time i take it.

Abdominal pains : Probably best answered by your GI physician. It would not be unusual for a patient with a chronic GI problem to react adversely to certain pain medicines. Abdominal pain, however, is not a common side effect of Tylenol, unless related to the liver. I would suggest avoiding Tylenol and talking to your physician about how it might relate to your IBS.

i have insisional hernia, dense bowel adhesions which have moved bowel & attached to hernia. been vomitting for 10 days &stabbing pain next to navel?

Call your surgeon!: Vomiting and pain in the setting of intra-abdominal adhesions could indicate a partial bowel obstruction or recurrent hernia.  You need to get checked.

No: Valsalva maneuver, or bearing down, holding of breath increased intrathecal pressure, intra-abdominal pressure, which can cause diffuse esophageal spasm, or pain due to esophageal etiology, if you have pre-existing conditions which predispose you to have such symptoms, including: hiatal hernia, achalasia, reflux esophagitis, esophageal dysmotility.  However, cardiac causes needs to be excluded.

Bloated: If bowel changes are hard stool then your symptoms could be from constipation.  Take a stool softener for a few days and see if you improve.

LLQ discomfort: Causes of recurrent llq abdominal discomfort may be identified by first addressing accompanying signs/symptoms so as to localize the organ involved: vaginal discharge or bleeding, alteration in periods, pregnancy risk? Fever, nausea, vomiting, altered stool pattern, blood with stool, tenderness, distension? Painful urination, blood in urine? Recent trauma, herniations? Age? Gender? Risk factors?

tear or strain: Most likely a bicipital tendonitis , from overuse, which can be very painful. Consider a partial tear of one of the heads of the bicep muscle. Nerve entrapment between bicep and tricep muscle is a possibility. Orthopedic doc can rule out humeral pathology, labral tear, avulsion fracture , or tumor.
