Not enough informatp:  you need a lot more information. There are a lot of different structures in the knee, and a sprain doesn't really say what it is. You can discuss this with your physician, then you may have to see who orthopedic surgeon or a rheumatologist to defined this better

Get it checked: A locking knee usually has a mechanical reason.  Unfortunately, that will require a mechanical solution.  Get it checked by an Orthopedist cuz exercising on a meniscal tear or unstable knee can have bad outcomes

No : No xrays show bone, but not muscles or other soft tissues.  MRI shows soft tissues.

LIMIT stair climbing and apply heat where it hurts...pain in the back of the knee (POLITEAL area) is sometimes from a POPLITEAL CYST which inn-turn may be associated with mensceal (Internal cartilage) pathology. dorsiflexion osteotomy caused hallux limitus. inversion compensation causing ankle sprains and knee pain. surgeon only give shot. can this be fixed?

IT CAN BE FIXED: To be clear, you had a dorsiflexory osteotomy of the 1st metatarsal, and it was raised too much? If so, the surgery is essentially reversed to drop the metatarsal down. That should be done, to avoid arthritis at the bunion joint. You're young, so this should be done. Why was it done initially? Good luck.

severe knee pain 8 months after partial meniscectomy. new mri says consider lateral meniscocapular separation but no discrete tear, sprain /partial tear acl, joint effusion. what does this mean?? does this mean surgery again?

Possibly: You have internal derangement of the knee joint with fluid.buildup. The question is which finding is causing the severe pain and effusion--cartilage.or ligament pathology. Ligament injuries are often not.operated on and thus you may respond to corticosteroid injection, stem cell therapy, or physical therapy &amp; pain and fluid collection may improve after a week or two. Orthopedic surgeon can advise.
