hi, i took double of bc to stop heavy bleeding for a week. it stopped the bleeding but 3 days after i am back to one pill i am spotting. is it normal?

Yes: When ever you manipulate your hormones it can take a while for your body to get back on track. But if you have any severe cramping, fever, discharge, or heavy bleeding again, you should get seen.

i am 36 yrs old & had iud removed 3 days ago.  i had a little spotting, but woke up this am with heavy bleeding overnight. is this normal?

Could be: That could be normal after that procedure, but if you have increasing pain, fever, or a foul smell, those could be signs of infection. If there's no infection, then it should only take one full menstrual cycle for you to get back to normal.

Hormone resetting.: The initial bleeding that you had after having your baby was the sloughing off of the uterine lining that built up during pregnancy.  The heavy bleeding you're having now is probably your first true post-partum menstrual period.  This first period is often quite heavy.  Continue your prenatal supplements for now.  Your next cycle should be normal.  If not, consult you OB-Gyn.  Best wishes.

?????: Spotting is a term used for vaginal bleeding, if that is what you mean probably no connection.Rectal bleeding related to an ERCP would be blackish and not bright red.

Weird cycle: It is important to not panic just because one cycle if a little off from the others. The main issue is what is the pattern over time. If your cycles return to normal over the next few months then one abnormal cycle is not an issue. Always make sure your pregnancy test is negative. If you are not on birth control consider starting which will also give you better cycle control.

took plan b,5 days later i had some spotting then some decently heavy bleeding for a day to two and still spotting day 4. is this normal?

Plan B : Anyone having intercourse without birth control or condoms may get pregnant. If intercourse was within 72 hours you consider taking plan b. Ella (ulipristal acetate) is another brand that can be used up to 5 days after unprotected intercourse. Plan b is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding after is common. Check  preg test in 10 days.

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems Obgyns treat. If this is a one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &amp;   hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test. The pain and discharge need to be evaluated by your doctor for infection.
