i get extremely painful, burning spontaneous bruising.  the pain is excruciating.  why does this happen?  started in teens and getting worse.

Spontaneous bruising: There are rare conditions such as Gardner Diamond syndrome (autoerythrocyte sensitisation), Dercum disease, lipedema and others that have been associated with painful spontaneous bruising or bruising with minimal injury. Full history and coagulation work up may be necessary, so see your doctor for evaluation.

16 year old son has unexplained spontaneous bruising up and down the lower spine over vertebrae, circular shape and each size of quarter. any advice?

Bruising?: Presumably this is not traumatic. Consider Henoch-Schoënlein Purpura (anaphylactoid Purpura); Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpera (ITP). Go see a hematologist today!

Minor Trauma?: May be due to trauma caused by tight fitting shoes.   Some athletes will have bruising if their toes are striking the top of their toebox of their shoes.

Needs evaluation: B12 is not toxic so high B12 due to taking it is not bad. If someone has high B12 without taking it then it can be a sign of serious  problems including liver &amp; kidney disease, myelproliferative disorders including leukemia &amp; polycythemia vera &amp; hypereosinophilic syndrome. spontaneous bruising and petechiae for almost 6 months now. had two normal cbc's w/diff  (including liver function) after noticing. bruises fade away then come back in same spots. wondering what to do now?

Hematologist: There are many reasons for easy bruising, and a full scale clotting/ coagulopathy survey may be revealing.

hello i have a pain that goes from my inner thigh on my left down my leg and it feels like its going down a nerve or something but i also have some bruising and im not sure if its from a spider bite or if i tore something?

: You'd remember an injury if it was severe enough to tear a muscle or inguinal ligament. It could be a less severe strained muscle. A spider bite would show more signs at the bite site. For now, rest your left leg. If not gradually improving, get examined&amp; advised by a physician.

Bruise: For the first 24 hours, i would ice the effected area to minimize the spread of the bruise. After 48 hours, heat may be applied to allow the blood to disperse about the body. The amount of time it takes to heal is highly variable from person to person.

Accepted Answer

Many things: circle bruises, may be just that but they can also be pigmentary disorder. see your dermatologist if they do not clear in one month.
