Confusing diagnosis: There is no "border line split personality." there is borderline personality disorder, most often diagnosed in women, schizophrenia, and dissociative identity disorder, both psychotic conditions. It sounds as if you may shift moods/emotional states in a compete way, suggesting strong dissociative tendencies. You need good psychodynamic psychotherapy over an extended time. It's not easy to treat.

Hello. : Hello. Day 6. Split personality disorder or disassociative identity disorder are not very common. However, two common causes of marked mood changes can be bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder. Even depression can lead to striking changes in mood. It sound very distressing. I encourage you to have a comprehensive evaluation by a psychiatrist or a doctoral level clinical psychologist.

Drugs are unlikely: To help a person whose personality is well described by the definition of a personality disorder - patient cbt efforts have been the most helpful in my experience. Pds are not illness, they are ways of being. When they are maladaptive, it can be very unpleasant, but need to be out-grown (even in adults). Non-judgmental guidance is what i employ. Borderlines are very difficult but can be worth it!

Depression/GAD/PD: Sounds like you have a complex set of symptoms that really warrant seeing a Psychologist expert in assessment of mood disorder. Medications can be very helpful, although SSRIs are more commonly prescribed. But keep a log of how you feel with any medication, the dose, and are your symptoms actually resolving. It depends: This isn't exactly a medical question, it's more of a legal or moral one.  But laws in the us generally hold that if a person cannot tell right from wrong due to a mental illness, then they are "not guilty by reason of insanity" (or similar language depending on the state).  Most mental illness is not severe enough to meet this standard, and the "insanity defense" is actually used fairly rarely.

You may be obsessive/compulsive or dependent for example then you would not fit into one category or another.
