i have a spider bite on my leg. there is no pain or discomfort, the bite area is however very red and appears to be hardening. bite is approx 1 week old. please advise if i should seek medical attention or advise as to any specific cream or medicine?

Spider bite: Spider bites should not be taken lightly. They cause a lot of inflammation and sometimes necrosis. Your is 1 weeks old and still very red - see your doctor and hopefully he will prescribe something

Unsure: A red line on your leg can be due to a number of things, not just a spider bite.  Spider bites generally will cause a solitary papule or pustule, with local redness and sometimes a puncture marking or two.  Itching and burning are common complaints.  Tenderness is common as well.  When in doubt, check it out.

It can.: But it doesn't have to.  When patients come in with "spider bites", basically pimples that keep getting larger, they tend to be staph infections/abscesses.  Bottom line: don't try to pop or pick it.  If it's getting bigger or really painful, see a doctor b/c it could be the beginning of an abscess.

i have a bump on the back of my leg, it's swole and hurts. red all around, and a little brownish color dot in the middle of it. spider bite? or what?

"Bump": It would help to know exactly where the bump is on the back of your leg.  Is it behind the knee?  If so it may be a Baker's cyst.  On the calf..and we need to think about a clot deep in the veins.  Anywhere else and the chances of a spider or insect bite go way up.  If so watch for signs of continued infection and see your doctor for further analysis.

my bf has a spider bite on the back of his leg thats about the size of a quarter it was red at first but now it is dark redish purple is this serious?

Possible necrosis: This sounds like the bite may be becoming necrotic. A brown recluse bite frequently acts like this. Your bf should see a physician as he may need to have this area debrided and or may require antibiotics.

got big leg lump which reduced to smaller lump, 2nd big lump a month after 3 inches apart. dr. says it's spider bite, i disagree. could it be serious?

If they go away: it is unlikely that it is serious. Need to see what they look like but if you are really concerned a biopsy can be done to determine if these are bite or not.

i got a spider bite on my leg about 4 days ago, its a little bigger then quarter size but looks to be getting better. about 2 inches down 4 red lumps appear a inch apart from each other. all hot to touch and pain full. is this just a reaction?

: It could be multiple bites either at the same time or different , also it could be different spiders. Spider bites will take a week to heal and a month to disappear. As you do not have systemic symptoms , spider does appear to be deadly, a bright spot.

None: Spider bites do not usually cause these symptoms.  Anxiety could. It would be extremely rare that a black widow bite could cause these symptoms, but as I stated earlier, the typical black widow symptoms is severe pain.  Usually in the abdomen.  Not extremity numbness.

Lesion:  Clean with soap and warm water. If you develop significant swelling, redness, black center with surrounding white tissue, purulent discharge or fever, than medical attention may be warranted.

spider bite. do spider bites develop into  wart  like appearance? however such a wart  is red.  i woke up with this on my leg

See a doctor...: Spider bites can be worse than you would think. I have seen a number of them that have become secondarily infected.  The appearance will vary with the individual and the type of spider.  Better see a doctor to be sure you don't develop any other complications.
