Possible: If you really need to know, a liver biopsy may show liver changes before the blood tests. How many drinks a day for how long? The most important thing is to avoid alcohol from now on.

Alcohol and liver: With you history some degree of cirrhosis is likely, but it probably is not severe based on your lab test. I recommend obtaining a liver ultrasound, the best way to assess the liver. A live CAT scan can also be helpful, but if you stop drinking I don't think you need a major workup at this point.

i have 2 spider angioma. i am worried about cirrhosis. i drink on weekend with some weeks on and off. i had normal fibrosure, cmp, cbc test after i had these marks.my gastro appointment is 2 months away. is this cirrhosis?

: Spider angiomas can occur for reasons other than cirrhosis. If you have no history of hepatitis, alcoholism or other liver problems then there is no urgency. Cirrhosis takes a long time to develop for the liver has remarkable regenerative power. A few drinks on weekends at your age and no other problems, your chances of cirrhosis are extremely low. Benign blood vessel: A spider angioma, or a spider nevus or telangiectasia, is a tiny dilated bllod vessel that is found just under the skin surface. They often have a central red spot and reddish extensions which spread out like a spider's legs or a web. They are common and are always benign. They can appear in women during pregnancy.  If you have more than five spider angiomas, it can be a sign of liver disease.

Maybe: Spider angiomas across the upper chest and shoulders can be an indication of liver trouble, but their presence might also indicated nothing.  If you have see a sudden appearance of several angiomas and have never had them before, if you have a a sudden increase in the number of angiomas you have, or if you are covered with them, you might want to get you liver checked.

Yes: Especially if they appear fairly abruptly. But there are more reliable signs of liver problems. Hyperthyroidism can also make the little spiders pop up, and some people have them "for no reason.".

Can resolve.: Spider angioma can spontaneously resolve especially in young children.  However, by 10, they may not improve.  There are several options to treat these including laser and sclerotherapy.  You may want to see a vein specialist.

Blood Vessels: Spider angiomas are abnormal collection of blood vessels of the skin with a red dot in the center and radiating smaller vessels that resemble a spider.

They are commonly found on the face, neck, and hands and can occur at any age.  Since they are benign, no treatment is necessary.  Many resolve spontaneously.
