Assessment : Sounds like either a viral illness or some sort of infection causing mouth ulcers.  Some are treatable and others can at least be managed while your body recovers.  Please see a doctor for examination.  Bonjela may ease the pain but a specific diagnosis will assist with proper treatment

some uncommon conditions rarely seen are stomatitis, salivary mucocele, mouth cancer, kaposis sarcoma, and few more 
consult your doctor if it persists and do not go away.

Mouth breathing : If you have a tendency to breathe through your mouth more than your nose, the oral tissue will be dry when you awaken. This could lead to dry, cracked mucous membrane which could bleed easily, as you described. You should have a humidifier in your bedroom and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Additionally, I would advise seeing your doctor to evaluate your oral cavity to look for problems.

Possibilities: Without seeing you it will be hard to tell.  You may have a yeast infection or some other std.  If it does not go away in a week i would suggest seeing a physician for an evaluation.
