i have an itchy scalp and a swollen lymph node on the left side of my head at the lower  skull line. can you please tell me what might be the cause?

Dermititiis: You could have eczema, seborrhea, atopic or other form of dandruff.  If you scratch it it will tind to worsen and flake as well as get infected.  That will cause the swollen lymph node.  
Start with a dandruff shampoo and stop scratching it.  See if it starts to resolve in a couple of weeks

Inf or tumor: Scalp rash due to infection rarely spreads to cervical lymph nodes.  One has to think that it is more likely neoplasm and of those it is the squamous Ca of the scalp that can cause a non nealing rash and spread to regional cervical lymph nodes.  Bx of course is indicated with initiation of proper treatment.

i have had a swollen lymph node behind ear and cough for 4 weeks. not bigger. i did have eczema on scalp but now better, should i worry?

No, watch &amp; wait: Check the node every couple of weeks. If it doubles in size, other nodes become enlarged, the node becomes warm and painful, or if you lose weight, then see a doctor. It may take a few months for the node to shrink even after the eczema has cleared.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

i have 2 swollen lymph node at the back of my neck, for about a year is when i noticed, i can feel it, but there not to large. im under 18yo. my scalp has been itching for about four months. my mom says its not an issue and wont take me to the doctor?

: Swollen lymph nodes in back of neck often indicate an infection in your scalp. If present for many months may be fungus infection and not visually obvious. Yes, you need to be seen by a doctor and get treated

Dandruff?: Try washing your scalp frequently, daily would not be too much. It may take a few months of this, on regular basis for the scalp to be healthy and the lymph nodes to regress.

See your physician: You need to be seen by your physician or gynecologist as this may need some diagnosis test and physical exam before come to diagnosis , this may std or simple bartholian gland infection or sebaceous cyst infection.

: You are likely correct. Any disturbance of the skin surface as would be in tattoo removal may trigger enlargement of local nodes that can persist for a few weeks.

The lymph nodes "taste" the lymph to see if anything bad is there like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc.  When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.
