last week had sore throat, fever(100), cough, this week sore throat goes away then comes back in middle of the day and at night?(cant swallow)

Accepted Answer

Possible acid reflux: May causes of sore throat & cough that come and go.  Can be associated with difficulty swallowing. You don't have to have heart burn.  Other symptoms include a hoarse or scratchy voice, bad breath, burping.  Diet might contain acidy food, too.  
You could also have an infectious problem/lingering virus or untreated strep infection.  Would see a doctor if persists for more in depth evaluation.

i have a swollen and sore throat for the last 3 days. cant swallow anything then i want to cry of pain. there is since yesterday building up alot of muscus in my throat which makes it more difficult ?

Doctor can examine: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep). "Can't swallow anything" may mean an emergency, and thus a trip to the ER.

Supportive care: Supportive care for a sore throat would generally consist of using over the counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen (available in tablets or liquid form-check the children's section) and cool soft fluids and foods.  Prolonged or progressive symptoms should be evaluated in a medical facility (primary care provider).

Several...: Several possibilities exist including normal, "sore throat, " infection either viral or bacterial. If you're sure this is not your normal color and your usual sore throat remedies don't work after 1-2 weeks check in with your pcp and make sure it's not something more serious.

URI: This could be from many causes to include mononucleosis, strep throat &amp; other bacterial/ viral illnesses. Can't exclude COVID 19 from that list.

Need Evaluation: If you have any difficulty breathing from any reason, you need to be seen and evaluated by a doctor.  Call 911 or go to the emergency room.  Other questions: how long have you had a sore throat, any pain with swallowing, any neck swelling?  Age?  The answers to these questions can change the diagnosis.

Potentially this: could represent an allergic reaction to the medication. Stop using it for a few weeks and see if the symptoms resolve. Then try again and see if they return. If they do you will know. You can probably go for a few more weeks without increased hair growth.

Allergic sore throat: Sinus disease is always secondary to nasal inflammation (rhinitis). Rhinitis causes post-nasal drip which can cause throat irritation. By treating the rhinitis the post-nasal drip should decrease and the irritated throat and difficulty swallowing should improve. If the difficulty swallowing doesn't improve consider seeing an ENT specialist.

pls help, had sore throat for many weeks with red patches, roughness, itchyness, difficulty swallowing, croaky voice which needs clearing now & again ?

Sore throat,dysphagi: You might have severe acid reflux with your description of symptoms.  Consider taking Omeprazole 20mg bid, otc.  However, due to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), you need to have an egd to make sure no other pathology.
