Possibly related: One of the causes of bumps on the tongue and sore throat would be oral thrush or a yeast/fungal infection. This is more likely after antibiotic use when the bacterial flora in the mouth/body is altered. It might also represent an unusual form of drug allergy, or just be normal. ? strep throat: Strep throat is a bacterial infection in the throat and the tonsils. The throat gets irritated and inflamed, causing a sudden, severe sore throat. However most sore throats are usually caused by a viral infection and not strep bacteria. The white spots on the back of a bright red throat and swollen tonsils and lymph nodes would be more concerning for strep throat.  This can be tested quickly by MD

Without : Without having the benefit of visualizing this area, it sounds like you may have a mucopyocele of the oropharynx (basically an obstructed and secondarily infected minor salivary gland of the throat). A trial course of appropriatelly directed antibiotics and office-based marsupialization of the cyst ( basically an i & d) may be of benefit. A general rule of thumb is persistent sore throats not improving over several weeks should be checked out. Its also possible you may have a small peritonsillar abscess or peritonsillitis with tonsillolith fomation. One wouldn't know without looking.
