i got a sore throat from my mom being sick and then shortly afterwards, i went to the dentist for the second filling in this month. i then have had swollen gums and a sore tongue, as if i have bitten it multiple times.

Sore throat: Unfair to both you and the dentist to subject him/her to your throat infection.  Next time consider rescheduling elective procedures until you feel better.  Swollen gums and sore tongue are not due to whatever caused your sore throat, and need to be investigated.  See your Physician or Dentist for evaluation.

Different Problems: Sensitivity, headache, and possibly the earache can be caused by deep restorations that have inflamed the nerves in your teeth. Your other problems are most likely unrelated. Have your dentist check your sensitive teeth and see your physician for your other problems.

i had unsafe sex two nights ago. from yesterday morning, i am filling a bit of sore throat. i don't know if it is hiv or anxiety. help me please. can hiv symptoms come 12-24 hours after exposure?

: Non oral sex will not give you sore throat and Hiv symptoms dont develop that fast. If not better see your doc re the sore throat

Filling: yes if its on the same side as there is a nerve called the trigeminal that would provide sensation to those areas. Check it out to make sure its not a bacterial throat infection

Sore throat: And ear ache. Several possibilities:  the filling is high and needs to be adjusted; the decay was very close to the nerve and the tooth may be infected and need a root canal; your TMJ may be sore due to having your mouth open for a long time. All of these can cause pain that feels like an ear ache. 
The sore throat is probably separate. If it doesn't go away in 2-3 days, check with your physician.

Unclear question: Are you asking if the dentist gave you strep or if it is possible for strep to enter your bloodstream during dental work?  Unless your dentist has poor sterile technique, s/he would be unlikely to give you strep.  It sounds like you were already coming down with it and prompt treatment should lessen the risk of it going to your valve.  To be safe, notify your doctor if you continue with fevers.

Hopefully: She really may have caused a lot of chemical irritation. How much? that is the question that says she should be examined by her physician to see if any significant damage was done to the delicate tissues in the oral cavity &amp; lungs.

That depends: For significant sore throat with swollen tonsils / lymph nodes –  see physician ; get a strep throat test/ culture. If you have strep throat, antibiotic therapy is imperative to prevent future complications. Consider tylenol (acetaminophen) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Saltwater gargles: mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water – gargle several times a day. Or gargle with aloe vera juice twice a day.

TLC and antibiotic: A sore throat caused by viral infection — the most common cause usually lasts five to seven days and doesn't require medical treatment. Just some tlc.
If your sore throat is caused by a bacterial infection, your doctor will prescribe a course of antibiotics. Penicillin the most one prescribe.

Sore throat: This could be infection (viral vs. Strep most likely), allergy, dryness from mouth breathing, and a few other things. If nothing else is going on you might want to have it tested for Strep at you local immediate care center or PCPs office. Hope it clears up soon
