i have lupus and i keep getting a sore throat?

Can be a few things : Some lupus patients get ulcers in the the mouth, throat and nose. Because of dryness and or immunosuppressive medications like prednisone, you may have a yeast infection called thrush.  See your rheumatologist.

May have: May have a mild viral illness or your immune system is overactive enough to fight off the infection.

Parathyroid test: Not likely but discuss with your Dr who did test and with your Dr. They know you best.

i have lupus & since 2 days ago i've had a very sore throat & body aches all over. no nasal symptoms. im not sure if this is a cause for concern or not?

It could be: It could be your lupus, but you could have an infection as well.  See your doctor to be evaluated.

is you live with a constant sore throat & diagnosed with tonsillitis a few times a year as well as have lupus, should you have your tonsils removed ?

Yes if infected: An ENT doc should evaluate this--if this is a chronic infection they will recommend removal.

Evaluation: Your SLE and medications to treat lupus may include immuno suppressive medications, and you are more prone to infection as a result.
Please have an evaluation which will include screening for coronavirus and influenza. 
A chest image may be ordered during your medical visit.

i was diagnosed with lupus and was told i also have sjogren's syndrome. i was wondering, every time i drink cool/cold water my throat gets sore. why?

Sjogren's dryness:  This may be related to the The dryness related to Sjogren's. Otherwise I have no other explanation. You can discuss this with your rheumatologist.

: Get a throat culture for strep, and a COVID-19 PCR test, and then devise a strategy with your regular physician.

i have been having a sore throat for three consecutive days its very sore and dry. ive used warm salty water to gurgle but it wont go away ?

Common: Most issues that cause a sore throat (Viral or bacterial) will damage tissue &amp; create symptoms that last days if not weeks. Mono often  triggers throat pain that can last 3 weeks. You have the options of continuing what you are doing (which helps) or going in to see if you have a problem that requires antibiotics.

i have sore throat that comes and goes throughout the day that started this past month, i dont know if its from my acid reflux that i also just gotten this month or could be the air conditioner. what could it be and solution? healthy and no symptom

Accepted Answer

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Acid reflux is a possible explanation. It could be allergy. It would be prudent to see a doctor.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
