Make sure to take a full list of all meds &amp; supplements, prescription and OTC, that you take.  Also note if there has been a change in medications, foods, etc, in the last few days.

You need to see an ent, oral surgeon, or oral pathologist.

Common problem: If your daughter has reached the point she is not taking enough fluids to wet every 6 hours it is time to have her  evaluated. This could be a simple virus or strep, but dehydration would be my first worry. Chilled fluids, frozen apple sauce, popsicle pieces, etc can often help with the dry or sore mouth or throat but watch the hydration.

Let it heal: Sorry about the sores.  The mouth is very resilient and your sores should heal quickly.   Soften up the diet and stay away from hard foods (like sunflower seeds) for a few days.   Also, avoid hot and spicy foods.

Lime juice...: The citric acid in lime juice can sting or burn if you have an open wound in your mouth such as an ulcer or any tear in the mucous membrane which lines your mouth. I wouldn't suggest using it for a sore mouth. It probably wouldn't do any real damage, but it would likely be uncomfortable for awhile.
