My : Choice is a new balance shoe but make sure you go to there store. They have seen trained to fit.

Accepted Answer

Depends on rigidity: The problem with high arches is that the pressure can be shifted to the later side of the foot and increase stress on both the  bony and ligament outs and tendonous structures laterally and lead to injuries such as stress injuries to the fifth metatarsal, perineal tendon injuries and recurrent lateral ankle injuries. Often a runner losses the advantage of a strong big toe push off. Orthotic insole.

how can i help treat plantar fasciitis without using steroids. also i have a high arch and i am underweight.

Accepted Answer

Stretching exercises: Exercises that stretch the calf muscles can be very helpful.  Medium firm heel cups for your shoes may also help.  A  walking program may also help.  Arch taping may help.  A podiatrist or physical therapist should be able to help without using corticosteroid injections.

i have plantar fasciitis, high arches, supination & heel pain.  what would be the best sneakers i can wear? i had asics but i dont think theyre helping as much as other sneakers might be able to so i wanna try more?

: Best would be to get a podiatrist’s opinion first as to orthotic devices to use in general with shoes and/or sneakers. Alternatively using a sport shoe store that provides fitting services would help. It is not necessarily a brand that will do it, but the type of shoe and how it fits for you.

Pain: Anything that causes an increase in pain should be reaccessed.  You should look into exercises for plantar fasciitis.  When this is over, it has a high likely hood of returning.  There are exercises that will limit or hopefully eliminate the PF.

Tendon pain?: Consider FHL tendonitis as a possibility. Calf stretching and foot intrinsic strengthening, plus softer orthotics may help. A break for 1-3 weeks from long-distance runs may benefit you. Shorter, painless runs on non-consecutive days. Also, flatter surfaces for now. Plantar fascitis: Stretching of the plantar fascia ,during the day and at night. Go online and look up the diagrams that show the proper way of stretching. A short course of NSAIDs . , decreasing by 20% the amount of time you are running can also help

Support: You need a shoe that has good midsole and rear heel support. There are too many shoes out there these days that are too soft/flexible. This causes the fascia to be under repetitive strain. Orthotics (insoles) can be of benefit. See your local doctor to be evaluated.

Heel cups: Mf heel cups can ease the pain of plantar fasciitis in most cases . It works by using your own heel fat pad more efficiently . There are many other deviscs you can try over the counter. The cure usually requires a regimen of achilles stretching, intrinsic muscle exercises and night splints i dorsiflexion (esp. If suffering from early am pain). See doc if worsens sometimes stress fracture mimics pf.
