Pregnancy: You may be pregnant but tested a little too early for home pregnancy test to develop. Retest after you have missed your period for 8-12 days to see if you are pregnant.  Earliest test becomes positive is about 12 days after conception.

Maybe not preg.: Pregnancy is a common cause of a missed period. If not pregnant, other causes of a late or missed period include:  excessive weight loss or weight gain, increased exercising, emotional stress, having an illness, traveling, medicines (especially birth control pills), hormonal disorders, etc…  If worried, one can retest 1 week after the first test. An Ob-Gyn doctor can help if symptoms persist.

Likely not pregnant: Plan B can disrupt 1-2 menstrual cycles resulting in later than expected periods.  It is likely that you are not  pregnant given the negative test in the doctor's office.  Follow up with doctor in one week if you are still without a period.

Likely side effect: Potential Side effects w emergency contraception: tender breasts; menstrual flow changes (spotting, bleeding, early or late period); loose stools; dizziness; headache; nausea/ vomiting; abdominal pain / cramping or fatigue. For chest tightness, difficulty breathing, swelling of lips, mouth, throat – call 911. Take pregnancy test &amp; notify Dr if your period is 7 or &gt; days late.

Repeat test: I would repeat the test in 7 days.  You can have a false negative test if you are less than 7 days pregnant.  If  you repeat test in 7 days and it is still negative then I would see your physician.

Dehydration: If you have a respiratory infection and have not adequately hydrated, the urine may become concentrated and take on a darker or more yellow color. Treat the cold as usual, stay hydrated and if fever continues, consult with your md&gt; good luck!

Back pain dark urine: back pain and dark urine could be a sign of urinary tract infection. Have your GP check your urine for infection and also for blood.

No ovulation: Bloating is a nonspecific symptom, not always related to pregnancy.  The negative pregnancy tests indicate pregnancy is not the reason for the symptoms.  Irregular ovulation is what causes irregular periods and can also cause the symptoms.   If the symptoms persist, an evaluation by your clinician is indicated.

Common problem: Fibrocystic disease/changes is very common after menopause.  Breasts feel lumpy and painful which is caused by cyst formation (fluid filled areas) due to hormonal changes.  Some women may have these changes without being on their menstrual cycle.  Caffeine may cause the cysts to be overactive resulting in pain. This is not related to cancer.
