Not without a cause: Herbal medication to treat a "numbness" of unknown origin is sheer fallacy. Have a MD exam you and run some testing to see WHY you are having the numbness.

Spotting: Yes, spotting/bleeding can happen as a result of a pelvic examination.  It can also be from implantation, from an ectopic or from a miscarriage.  It can also just be spotting not related to pregnancy.

if you are 9 weeks: Already , you should be seen very soon as i always do an early ultrasound on all of my pts to make sure they have a viable iup and not an unviable pregnancy or an ectopic, once i know the pregnancy is normal then u need the first prenatal exam which consists of a complete exam cultures and blood work and then your OB should go over the rest with you at your first prenatal visit.

As long as: a pregnant woman isn't having any concerning symptoms (abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding), they probably don't need to see a doctor until 6-10 weeks of pregnancy. That being said, it is extremely important to establish routine prenatal care to ensure that fetal development proceeds well, and problems are detected early if they arise. Hope this helps!

These are the best: Urine tests for HCG and blood tests for HCG or human Chorionic Gonadotropin are by far the best tests and are easy and accurate.

Pregnancy: A blood pregnancy test is the quickest and earliest for tell if you are pregnant. Get a titer on the test and as you become pregnant the more the titer will rise. (one or two weeks pregnant).

It depends: It depends based on the test you use.  Most OTC urine pregnancy test manufacturer will note on the box or insert how many days after sex you can expect the test to be accurate. Different tests are different.  On average, it can be detected 10 days after a missed menstrual period.

If concern, consider taking a blood/serum HCG test which is more reliable from your doctor's office/lab.

Yes: Second hand smoke can affect you and your baby. Not as much as you doing the smoking, but it can cause problems for you and your baby. Do him a favor and help him stop smoking.
