will a hsv2 igg test at 18weeks post exposure be conclusive? i had a negative at 16weeks but still have daily symptoms like buttocks nerve pain, groin skin pain and constant discomfort, sometimes it burns after peeing. i read that it can take 6months?

: Despite what you might have think you learned online, herpes doesn't cause symptoms like yours. With apparently no genital area blisters and sores, plus your negative blood tests, it is certain herpes isn't the problem. See a doctor if your symptoms continue. Good luck.

Yes: It sounds like a urethritis, but could mean prostatitis, especially with burning at tip.  More info such as sex activity, other problems eg diabetes, colon troubles, injuries etc. If it continues go see your GP or a urologist.

Vaginitis: Hi,
It is likely you have vaginitis.  This is  usually due to a fungal infection.  Very common in women after antibiotic use.Usually itchy sensation 
Burning is a symptom which could be a Urinary tract infection, Herpes infections,  other vaginitis.
So this requires some more discussion.

Family Doctor: Visit your family doctor for an examination and evaluation of your problem.  Could be a gyn problem, but could also be a urethra or bladder problem.  Start with gp then see gyn if necessary.

GYN exam: Please get a pelvic exam and evaluation. This can be caused by masturbation, inflammation, manipulation, tight thong underwear, aggressive sexual intercourse and multiple other factors. See your GYN, abstain sexually and get checked for urinary infection or urethritis

Urethritis/Chlamydia: Leukocytes mean that there is inflammatory process.Positive nitrite test is positive when there is urinary infection due to gram negative bacteria.
Urine positive for Leukocytes and neg nitrite in men can be due to Chlamydia infection in urethra
It is important to establish the diagnosis as your sexual partner also needs to be treated with antibiotics.

urine culture came back negative but the dip stick test was positive for red blood cells.  doesnt burn while i pee but continually burns after i pee.  also have low back pain mid to left side of back.  what can cause this if not uti? cancer?

Work up: Will be needed. You experience dysuria or burning after urination and your dipstick was abnormal. Back pain is also of concern and imaging should substantiate structural changes. There are many other benign causes for your symptoms, including stones or cysts, cancer cannot be ruled out yet. Stick with your doc, who may consult an urologist, if needed.

Could be: urethritis or cystitis, both are forms of uti.  Consult with your doctor for proper tests and treatment.  In the meantime, take hot baths 2-3 times daily to alleviate symptoms.
