See psychiatrist: Trazodone causes  drowsiness , so you feel zombie-like. You may have to reduce the dose of trazodone to feel normal in the morning. Have a talk  with your doctor and discuss your problem. Hope you feel better.

What are concerns?: What are your concerns about his medication regimen? He is on a stimulant medication (Ritalin) in a fairly low dose. The clonidine (catapres) is a non-stimulant to help with the ADHD symptoms and often used as an adjunct if sleep problems. The risperidone is the only one that troubles me if he has straight ADHD and no co-morbid conditions like ODD or conduct, as  behavioral therapy is first.

Psychiatrist: If you are concerned about several different issues, it is a good idea to speak with a psychiatrist about your medications. Stimulant meds are most often used for adhd (concerta) and ssris (for example - zoloft) are most commonly used for depression and anxiety.

Not exactly.: Strattera (atomoxetine) is a a non-psychostimulant which means it helps increase attention (reduce distractibility) without acting like an amphetamine (body wired, stimulated). You may pay more attention to the music heard, but recall of rhythm, tempo, or lyrics may take memory-repetition tasks; otherwise, you risk recalling either  the beginning (primary) or end (recency) of the song, but in between.

Geodon (ziprasidone)?: This is a second generation antipsychotic.  Lexapro is an ssri antidepressant.  I don't know other details but these are medications that not indicated for ADHD. Geodon (ziprasidone) requires metabolic fasting blood draw labs every 6-12 mos. If any cardiac risk, geodon (ziprasidone) and vyvanse may require a baseline per doc.  Please discuss with your doctor as to  thought process of the combo of  medications  being used.

Caffeine: Caffeine in the form of coffee,pill or energy drinks can offer some similar  psycho-stimulant effects as adderall. It has some side effects in some &amp; is really substituting one drug for another but the duration of action is briefer &amp; can be self regulated.
