LBP S/P TRAUMA: NO ! You need full exam labs and X-ray. At this stage an MRI will be needed to define the anatomy and determine the cause of pain and treatment options. If you can't bear weight you may have a herniated disc. Treatment : NSAIDs / Muscle relaxants &amp; Steroids.. Also PT and evaluation for injection if symptoms warrant it.

No: Arthritis is inflammation in the joints. Soft tissue damage is more of a description of injury to non bone structures.

Yes: Gary, soft tissue injuries can last 7-14 days. Be sure to elevate and ice it. Also, tape it to the finger next to it (we call this buddy taping, and it's what we'd do even if it was broken). If it isn't better in another week, see her doctor. Sometimes small fractures don't show up on initial X-ray. Hope this helps!

i want to know if it's possible to cause a lot of soft tissue damage to a hip joint from falling on it. what tests should i get done to treat the pain?

Get a diagnosis: With persistent pain in the hip after a fall the first step is to be evaluated by a physician. An x-ray to evaluate for fracture would be a good idea. Possibly just a contusion or trochanteric bursitis. Hip pain can also be from a back injury. Not possible to diagnose without evaluation and a work up.

Muscle, tendons: Soft tissue means anything other than the bone and thus usually means muscles , tendons , or even fascia.  You need to ask him more about how to deal with it or prevent it from happening in the future.

should i seek further treatment for tibia hematoma, soft tissue damage due to auto accident that is still largely visible and painful 6 weeks later?

Yes : 6 weeks after an accident and you still have painful bruise along the shin, you need have it looked at again by a physician to rule out a nondisplaced fracture.
