Stool: I would see a doctor about that and have your stool examined to make certain you do not have a parasite or some type of infection or underlying bowel disorder.

Constipation: Pellet-like stools with mucous sound pretty much like simple constipation.  It is not the character of the stools so much as the reason you, at your age, should be having constipation.  If it persists more than a few days, see your doctor. You can safely try OTC stool softeners and increased fluid intake in the meantime.

However if there are large amounts of mucus especially if associated with blood  or abdominal pain– that warrants evaluation. If there is a major change in bowel habitus that is ignored -a medical condition may go untreated.

At the very least stool studies & probably a sigmoidoscopy should be considered, but a more extensive evaluation may be warranted.
