Constipation: Pellet-like stools with mucous sound pretty much like simple constipation. It is not the character of the stools so much as the reason you, at your age, should be having constipation. If it persists more than a few days, see your doctor. You can safely try OTC stool softeners and increased fluid intake in the meantime.

Are you constipated?: See that you have blood in stools and sigmoidoscopy. The doctor who is working you up should be able to take full history, physical exam and your studies to make a definitive diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan for you. Take care.
