Lumps and Bumps: Hi, sorry you are not feeling 100%. Bumps or lumps on people always cause alarm, but seldom are harmful. It is impossible to guess what it may be, i tell my patients to always have things like that examined, and if necessary sampled or biopsied.  Many times it is fat cells, (lipoma) which is a benign, soft , lump under the skin. See your doctor soon for exam. Take care, and good luck!

Exam needed: The lump may be a fatty tumor(benign lipoma), tiny hernia through a muscle, protuberant vein or a wen, but since it is now bruised and sore, an examination is needed for diagnosis.

i have two lumps on my lower legs, close to my ankles, they are in the same spot but on different legs. they don't hurt, and it goes away when i flex.

Muscle/ Tendon.: Since the lumps are on both legs and appear to be symmetrical, they are probably a variation of or just normal anatomy. What is it that you flex to make them go away? What direction are you flexing it?

Skin lumps: Depending where they are, they may be lipomas or varicose veins if in the legs, they need to be examined for proper diagnosis. The rash on your legs can be from venous stasis.

Lipodermatosclerosis: I would start by seeing a vein specialist for a full venous and lymphatic evaluation.

Mottling: Such purplish mottling of the legs in an otherwise youngster most likely is due to some constriction of superficial skin veins and may have to due with some chilling of the skin. If you still have concerns, have his pediatrician check him.
