i broke my ankle 6 weeks ago dr. took soft cast off can i put preasure on it now?

Xrays reveal ???: If your dr took your cast off, that is a question that he should have answered for you at the time of the visit.  The ability to bear weight on the ankle/foot will dependent on whether the ankle has healed.  An xray would probably be taken for comparison.  Typically bones take 6-8 weeks to heal; however, soft tissue structures surrounding the joints take longer.

As long as: Your doc states. (which is usually 1-2 weeks).
A new one may be applied after that but anymore that two weeks in a soft cast and that foot is going to stink.

why won't the pain in my heel from a calcaneal spur go away?  it's with me all day long and nothing works. right now i'm in a soft cast and a boot.  what could be the cause?

NEED FOR SUPPORT!: Most shoes aren't always what is bad, usually it's the crummy insoles they come with! there are many possibe reasons (plantar fascitis leaps to mind) that you may have pain in the heels, but try arch supports like spenco polysorb (http://www.Spenco.Com/products/footcare/poly-sorb) and otc anti-inflammatories (like aleve).  If these don't help, see a podiatrist.

Depends: Without a proper exam, it's hard to say. Sprain treatment can range from a few weeks of compression to months of casting or even surgery. The best person to ask is the doctor treating you, whether it be an orthopedist or podiatrist. If you don't allow adequate healing time, you risk an unstable ankle.

Allergy/ trauma: Could be allergy to one or more to the meds.. You are on, 
or from constant trauma to the area like rough clothing and such.
