after a 60 + male has knee surgery and is discharged from hospital if they are taking codeine phospate 30mg 2 tablets every 6 hrs max of 8 tabs 24hr but accidently takes next dose after only 4 hrs but has no real adverse effects could it be a danger?

Prednisone : Try giving child something frozen to freeze taste buds or give small amounts of medication at a time. Call your doctor if your child still can't tolerate it

Avoid those: As a kidney doc, i would recommend against it since phosphate  from enemas can sometimes deposit in the kidneys and cause acute kidney failure.

Prednisolone: The steroid is usually given to wheezing infants who are exhibiting respiratory distress. The usual cause for the wheezing is asthma.

Dexamethasone phosph: No it can not be and it can be very dangerous if you use for that purpose.

Perhaps...: Any steroid can be used to increase muscle mass. However , keep in mind that  this may result in increased blood sugar, diabetes and erratic behavior (aggressive) , acne and heart disease.

Just the opposite : Dexamethasone is not an anabolic steroid. Taking it without a doctor's prescription will cause serious health problems, including cushing's syndrome. The person will gain abdominal weight, lose muscle from arms and legs, the immune system may become suppressed.  Etc. Not desirable. Patients taking this drug do so for other health problems and also deal with some side effects.

Not significantly: This intravenous steroid just mimics the natural stress response of the body (steroid production) but at a higher level. That single infusion is gone from your system now lasting at most a few days. Daily infusions at a therapeutic (high) dose  over days &amp; weeks would suppress the immune response for a significant period. Single infusions have only a mild &amp; transient effect.

Wrong specialist: This is more of a question for your nephrologist. I doubt that it would be an issue though.

is it okay to use betamethasone sodium phosphate nasal drops (0.1% w/v) twise daily for a period of 1 year to treat allergic rhinitis ?

: The best solution is to avoid the allergen in order to cure the allergic rhinitis rather than using steroid solution daily. If you can't stay off the allergen, you should use the local steroid as needed after the symptoms are under control rather than routine, daily use. If possible, you should see an allergist.
