Try The Bucket Test: Salt from the Dead Sea, or any 'salt water' is sodium chloride (NaCl). Epsom 'salt'(ES) is not a salt. It is magnesium sulfate (MgS04). So, you could compare every purported use for ES and try it with salt from the Dead Sea. If the same then I'd bet it's everything but the salts. Check out :

Same as salt: Sea salt is simply mostly ordinary salt with a few additives for color and occasionally taste.The basic element is ordinary salt and that is the same as any other salt.  Your body needs salt, but not an excessive amount so sea salt should be added as part of your sodium intake.

Marketing: Sea salt theoretically is the salt remaining from collected, filtered and dried sea water.  However it would contain a lot of minerals, some objectionable.  So it is probably purified salt with some additives for taste and color.  The prices I have seen for this are astronomical but marketing deserves congratulations for making something so common, a pricey item.

Minor: Table salt is purified salt sometimes with iodine added.  Sea salt is purified salt, allegedly from the sea and supposedly containing some co-purified good minerals.  Mostly however, it is salt with additives of flavor and color and is no different from a culinary standpoint as regular salt.
