i have been having some pain in the left bottom side of my stomach. i don't poop as usual i might just let out small pieces a day or 2 but that's it.

Sounds like : Constipation. I would recommend MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) 4 capfuls in 20 oz water twice a day for three days with dulcolax suppository in rectum twice a day for one day. If pain increases or you do not pass stool seek immediate care.

stool is usual brown in colour with small amount of blood covering some areas, blood on toilet paper when i wipe. painless until i pass hard stool ?

PCP for P/E/: Seeing blood in the toilet, on the outside of your stool, or with wiping  is common. Fortunately, most of the causes of such rectal bleeding are not life-threatening; In addition, bleeding from higher in the digestive tract, such as the stomach, can produce black, tarry bowel movements because stomach acid turns blood black. Bismuth (such as in Pepto Bismol) and iron supplement does same.See Pcp

had a bowel movement earlier that was small pieces im very worried about this and i've been farting a lot more than usual my diet is poor and i don't drink enough which gives me constipation but this wasn't constipation it came out fine what is this?

: What you described is consistent with constipation.You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

hi. ate colon strictures common with diverticulitis ? i been passing stool past two days but been small and kinda narrow. today i finally had a more normal bowel movement. had a colonoscopy not long ago and was told have diverticulitis. thank u?

: It can be normal for stools to sometimes be narrow, dependent a lot on diet, fiber intake, and colon spasm. It is probably not related to your diverticulosis. I would increase the amount of fiber in your diet and try to focus on remaining well hydrated. See your doctor if the symptoms persist. Good luck.

: There is a wide range of variability in what would be considered normal for bowel movements. As long as this is your normal pattern and there has been no change, and you are having no other associated symptoms, is likely nothing to be worried about. Bowel issues: Irritable bowel syndrome (ibs) can sometimes cause irregular bowels as you describe.  Are you having any abdominal bloating or discomfort, etc.?  If you purely have small bowels and no other issues, that is fine.  If other symptoms or you feel you need to address the bowel issue, than it is recommended you see a GI dr.  Good luck.

Constipation: Most likely the problem is that you are not taking in enough fiber and water in your diet.  Most people in the USA eat only about 10-12 grams of fiber per day, while the recommendations are to eat 20-25 grams daily.  Also, if you are not drinking enough water, you could be dehydrated, causing the colon hold onto water, leaving behind hard small stools.  Try a high fiber diet and drink more water.

I doubt it: I can think of a lot of ways this might occur but none amount to a real problem. If he is otherwise fine, doesn&#x27;t have diarrhea, fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, or blood in his stool, then I wouldn&#x27;t worry. He may just be eating more, or differently, getting more active, or maybe got a little constipated for a day or so and now things are moving again.

Yes, a little bit...: Interestingly, this is one of the issues pregnant women most fear.  I field more questions about this as I do about pain control.  Remember, delivering women are pushing into their pelvis (an area that contains bladder and rectum) with more force than they have ever generated.  Baby's head further pushes on rectum as it descends.  If anything does come out, your doc will casually sweep it away.
