: The numbers here describe the location of your hiatal hernia.  Using the gastroscope as a sort of tape measure and using your incisor teeth as the starting point, the hernia pushes the z-line up to 38cm. The narrowing is more concerning if it narrows so much that the hernia becomes “incarcerated” and stops sliding. There is no number here to define the width of the hernia.

Pls call your doctor &amp; ask him/her your question to get a most accurate response re: hernia size as well its reducibility. Some hiatal hernias, like large paraesophageal ones, carry potentially great concern, but yours is symptom-free.
