over the last 5 months i've lost around 30 lbs of weight. as my body is slimmer, i noticed a small lump in my groin area about 4/5 inches below belly button. i'm not sure if it was there and i did not notice because of the extra fat. either way, did some research and have narrowed down symptom to inguinal hernia. scheduled appointment with personal care doctor but it is not until september. should i see an urgent care sooner?

Hernia?: If it does not hurt gather no urgency.  If you have lost weight without trying I would wonder if it is an enlarged lymp node? Check both inguinal areas.  If on both sides not likely a hernia.

STD? : The pea sized nodule you are feeling may be a lymph node and it may be enlarged due to an infection. The pelvic pain and back pain may be due to cervix infection. Usually these things occur together in something like Chlamydia infection and/or gonorrhea. Typically acquired sexually due to unprotected intercourse with a new partner or a partner who has acquired the infection from somewhere.

Get it checked out: It is most likely a small lymphnode or a cyst, but bacterial infection with klebsiella ganulomatis is possible, often starts as small, painless nodules appearing after  10–40 days following contact with the bacteria. Later the nodules burst, creating open, fleshy, oozing, and infection continues to destroy the tissue until treated. Not to scare u, but should consult doc if worsens. Good luck.
