barber cut me with a razor, could i get hepatitis b and c? it was a small cut, i saw that closed cuts can't be a way of infection only open cuts? maybe he did change the razor and im just being dramatic. in case he didn't could i get hepatitis?

Ask Barber: Infection would only occur if those organisms were on the razor. It is ok to ask the barber if s/he uses a UV light sterilizer or chemicals to kill germs.

No risk, no worry: Nobody in the world has ever been known to catch HIV from razor cuts in barber shops or salons. The barber would have to have cut an HIV infected person within 1-2 minutes before you were shaved, and even then there would be almost no risk. Don't owrry about it. Don't get tested.

can i get hepatitis c from a small cut during pedicure ?i don't know how well they wash their instruments, thank you

Probably low: While hepatitis C can be highly infectious, unless there is visible blood on the instrument, the risk of infection is probably very low but can not be sure it's nonexistent.

small amount of bilirium detected in urine today (day 50 after unprotected sex) but hiv combo/hepatitis negative at 6 weeks. should i retest?

: Bilirubin in urine has nothing to do with HIV, and our negative HIV and hepatitis tests are conclusive.

i cut myself with a kitchen knife, while preparing lunch. if a small amount of blood from the knife got onto the peperoni/cheese, could it infect somebody who ate it with something like hepatitis? hope i'm panicking for nothing, but thanks in advance?

: No.  Transmission of hepatitis A result from ingestion of food contaminated with fecal excretion, whereas hepatitis B &amp; C from contact with infectious  body fluids, not by ingestion.

Yes and yes: Hepatitis b vaccine appears to have no harmful effects on pregnant women, fetuses, and babies. Women at low risk for hepb can get their shots after delivery. Babies get their hepb shot shortly after birth, and hepa shot at 18-24 months. Hepatitis a vaccine has less safety information than hepb vaccine, but hepa vaccine also appears to be safe during pregnancy, if a woman can't wait until delivery.

at work i picked up a item and it had what looked like dry blood on it but could have been anything. i have some small cuts on my hands but im pretty sure nothing got on my skin but i washed my hands afterwards just to be safe. hiv/hepatitis risk?

: Too many assumptions in your concern, do not worry about these minimal to no risk. No IV drug use and safe sex are the mainstay for prevention of HIV/Hepatitis diseases.

No risk, no worry: This isn't a risk for HIV, hepatitis, or any other blood borne infection. No virus can survive once it dries, let alone for several years. Don't worry about it.

Yes, and recommended: If you have not been vaccinated, it is strongly recommended, and all children should receive the vaccine. If you are not vaccinated, and are exposed to the infection, you can develop liver disease and/or cancer.
