i have a small smooth but hard bump on my scalp that wont go away.. never had b4. when i try to pop it just bleeds. no pus at all..shud i be scared?

C/w scar tissue or: possibly a persistent sebaceous cyst with significant scar tissue around it which your efforts are not emptying, just adding to trauma &amp; more scar tissue. Best leave alone in hopes scar tissue will decrease some over time or have excised by someone with good plastic surgery seamstress skills to reclose with minimal new scar tissue induction.

Skin growth: Could be a benign lesion called a seborrheic keratosis but it the lesions grows, bleeds gets painful or changes you should have it checked.  As you should with any skin lesion.

You might have fever, shooting pain with looking down, weakness in arms or legs. If things do not improve with OTC anti-inflammatories and rest, then time to see your doctor.

: Hair can grow over a cyst. It is not feasible to provide an opinion without examining the child. It does not seem to be an urgent issue and you could address it with the pediatrician at the next visit.
Make sure to get all the vaccinations for the child.

Skin bump: bumps and lumps on the skin can be anything from benign cysts to malignant tumors. this is something that should be looked at and diagnosed by your doctor and a biopsy/excision should be performed if necessary. 
dont worry, this is most probably a cyst but be responsible about your health and get this taken care of.
